Wear it yellow!

Today Heathfield Knoll celebrated Cystic Fibrosis Trust Day and joined people all over the country to wear yellow to help raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis (CF). To help understand more about CF a  Lower School parent, Miss Newton, came in and gave an assembly discussing how people with CF may look the same but are different inside.   The children and Miss Newton also discussed ways in which everyone can look out for those with an invisible illness by washing their hands, reducing the spread of germs by coughing into their arm and sneezing into a tissue, but also being kind and understanding to everyone we meet.   Pupils and staff have raised over £390 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. This money will go towards support for families affected by CF, adventure days for those who were born with CF and to aid vital research into CF therapies and treatments.   To learn more about CF please visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=WuI72eMrIQI To donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust please visit https://www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk/
