Virtual World Book Day

On Thursday 4th March, Heathfield Knoll School will be holding a virtual World Book Day. Although most of the children at Heathfield Knoll will be celebrating the occasion remotely, we will not let the current restrictions dampen our spirits! Throughout the day pupils will be taking part in various activities such as: Pyjama Day Children are invited to wear pyjamas, dressing gowns and onesies to their online lessons. Those children in school are also welcome to wear their pyjamas, too.  Story Sessions During both live and pre-recorded lessons, children will share stories with their class teacher and other adults in the school.  How to be an illustrator – Draw with Rob Children will learn how to be an illustrator and make their own World Book Day bookmark and other illustrations, with illustrator Rob Biddulph.  Reading Challenge – ‘Share a Story Reading Star’ Using the sheet below can you tick off all the ‘Reading Star’ challenges? These include reading with your pet or even wearing a silly hat!  We look forward to seeing what activities you get up to! Share A Story Reading Stars Younger Children Share A Story Reading Stars 8+
