Pupils from Reception to Year 11 have been enjoying their first week in the new Sebright building. Year 4 had their first food lesson in the space and a pupil said “I love it in here. I love how the counter is small enough so I can reach everything. I can’t reach in my kitchen at home.”
Mrs Hayward, Music Teacher has also loved her first week in the new build, “It has been a breath of fresh air this week. I am enjoying being able to use technology alongside instruments to enhance pupils learning. Pupils of different musical abilities are able to enjoy a practical lesson as we now have space for them to spread out and focus on their individual needs.” Sebright holds 3 music practice rooms, a recording studio and a large ensemble room which will be multi-functional and used for theory and practical lessons.
Business studies pupils are also taking advantage of the technology and have been enjoying the new iMac computer suit.
The new Sebright building will have its official opening later in the year, inviting family, friends, alumni and other distinguished guests into school to celebrate the schools 400th year anniversary.
