The HKS Choir and Band have been lucky enough to record their very own version of Band Aid’s ‘Do they Know it’s Christmas’ at Base Studio in Stourbridge.
Base Studio is a multi-functional complex offering many services to support aspiring and professional artists alike. Established in 2007, facilities include rehearsal studios, film, TV and photography studios, Film production, tuition, digital recording studios and a multitude of community-based initiatives.
Earlier this month, four Year 11 pupils took advantage of one of the digital recording studios and created their very own podcast. Pupils were able to see how a professional studio works and in the podcase shared their thoughts about HKS. Jack Wharton, Captain of School and Year 11 pupil attended the session and said”It was awesome being able to see and record in a professional studio. I want to come back again and record another podcast.”
