Heathfield Knoll Sixth Form: Supporting Every Learner

Heathfield Knoll Sixth Form is a SEND provision for students aged 16–18. We offer a calm and supportive environment where students can continue their education, combining academic challenge with tailored pastoral care.

This Sixth Form is a low-sensory learning space designed to support students’ needs, creating an environment where learners feel safe and able to thrive. Many of our students, including those who previously struggled to attend school or were out of education for extended periods, have flourished here. Our pastoral support helps students build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Curriculum and Life Skills Programme
Our curriculum is flexible and designed to meet individual needs. Alongside a choice of A Levels and vocational qualifications, students take part in a bespoke Life Skills Programme. This includes PSHE, Careers, and Preparation for Adulthood, helping students develop confidence in managing life beyond school.

As part of this programme, students complete the HSBC Smart Money Award, with sessions run by HSBC, and have access to one-to-one careers guidance from our SENDIASS Careers Advisor. This combination of academic and life skills learning ensures students are well-prepared for the next stage of their journey.

Celebrating Results
We are proud of all our students and the progress they have made this year. Their achievements reflect not only academic success but also personal growth, resilience, and perseverance.

  • 70% of A Level grades were awarded A*–C
  • 100% pass rate across all BTEC qualifications

Our students are moving on to a wide range of next steps, including university, employment, and further education. The confidence, independence, and practical skills they have developed during their time with us will help them take on new challenges successfully.

We are proud of every one of our students and look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve.
