Well done to everyone for completing the school year and creating lovely memories across the school. The words below are not my own but quoted from our very recently awarded Wellbeing Award report. This follows recognition and full review in the Good Schools Guide.
The school has long focused on the importance of wellbeing…It was patently obvious that the school prides itself on its strong pupil voice and its caring and supportive ethos. An excerpt from The Good School Guide (March 2022) expressed how Parents talk of initially shy children ‘flourishing in confidence’. No stigmas, no taboos. Because of its determination to place the wellbeing and mental health of its pupils and staff at the centre of its practice, it was clear from the overall atmosphere of the school and from my interviews with stakeholders that the school has indeed met its objectives in these areas. Staff know their children well and are therefore often able to pre-empt problems before they arise; parents feel well-supported and able to communicate with staff should they or their children have concerns, which is commendable, and pupils are confident that their voices will be listened to.
I could not have expressed it any better myself!
Wishing all a restful and most enjoyable summer break.
