U16 ISA Netball Champions

The Under 16 Netball squad travelled to St Dominic’s High School for Girls to take part in the annual ISA Midlands Netball tournament. The tournament format had two pools of eight teams, at the end of the pool matches the winners and runners up of each section would go through to the semi- final.

The tournament started with a confident 17-1 win in our first match. We knew our second match against Stafford Grammar would be more of a challenge. A good start saw us go 3-0 up. Stafford then got into their rhythm and came back to 3-3. With only 9 minute matches it was important not to panic. We continued to play well and the final score was 5-5.

We played all of the remaining pool games with increasing confidence, winning all matches and finishing top of the group.

The semi- final score reflected this confidence with a winning score of 13-4.

The Final started well and we went 3-0 up. This momentum continued with the girls playing some lovely flowing netball. We won the match 15-3 and were crowned ISA champions.

Congratulations to all the girls who worked so well together to play some excellent netball. They all thoroughly deserve this achievement. We are very proud of the team!
