Independence and Responsibility

Welcome To Middle School

Heathfield Knoll is an independent school that supports effective and smooth pupil transition. Pupils benefit from small class sizes, always less than 20, and a team of staff who know the children very well. As pupils grow and mature, they are afforded increased levels of responsibility and independence.

High Achieving

Heathfield Knoll is an all-inclusive, high achieving school that supports pupils to reach their potential. GCSE results are consistently the highest in the Wyre Forest.

Pupil Care

Small class sizes allow a focus on the individual, support personalised learning and offer strong pastoral care.

Opportunity

Maths to Music Technology, Physics to Food – out broad curriculum offers opportunities for all.

life in middle school

The giant steps from Primary to Secondary education are smoothed to a gentle ascent in Middle School. Pupils are supported both in and out of the classroom.

Curriculum

Pupils benefit from small class sizes and access to a full curriculum. Pupils from Year 5 begin to access specialist facilities and teachers who are specialists in subjects such as Food, Music, Sport and Languages in readiness for a secondary curriculum in Year 7.

Well-being

In Middle School pupils are nurtured by our experienced pastoral team and access a well-established programme of Learning Support. Pupils are further supported by Head of Well-being, Mrs Stooksbury who is always a friendly listening ear.

Examinations

As an independent school Heathfield Knoll School pupils do not sit SATS. There is continuous assessment of work and teachers are able to identify areas for improvement. Pupils are encouraged to think about their GCSE options and staff will help them discover their passions and potential.

“Middle School provides a bridge between primary and secondary education where pupils can develop and mature at their own pace.”
