Trustees, Headmaster and Senior Leadership have been looking for a partner who would be interested in investing in the school for the future, in order to allow us to be in a position to invest in the growth of the school and realise the ambitious plans that we have.
We are delighted to announce that we have found just such a partner in KSI Education who have agreed to purchase HKS. We exchanged contracts on 8th January and expect to move to completion as soon as possible.
KSI Education are a UK based organisation who are investing in education at many levels. They have high aspirations to develop into a strong and leading presence in the independent school market. For information about KSI please click here
The day-to-day leadership of the school and its ethos will remain unaffected: Mr Collins will continue as Headmaster and existing teaching staff will remain. The school will continue to be a school based on bespoke education, personal academic excellence, nurturing pastoral care and a fulfilling enrichment programme. The new owners will want as much continuity of governance as possible but will also bring additional expertise to strengthen local oversight.
The first wave of development, an initial £1million investment, will see new buildings for first teaching in September 2020 to include food, music and computing technology spaces. Please click here to see artist rendition.
The investment will also allow up to ten new staffing appointments, including science, primary years, food technology and support for English and Maths will also benefit.
Heathfield Knoll School saw a 100% increase in enquiries during 2018/19. As this continues to show exponential growth, marketing and admissions will also be supported by the investment.
HKS are confident that KSI represents an excellent organisation to carry the name of Heathfield Knoll School into the future.
