This week (12th-16th November) is Anti-bullying week.
Throughout the week pupils and staff will be thinking about how we manage bullying by reviewing and discussing our policy. Embracing what we do well as a school and supporting all our pupils.
The pupils have been asked to create poems/raps/posters to highlight bullying. They will nominate pupils who they feel would make good anti-bullying ambassadors. Some of these children will then be formally trained in March 2019 during a training session held by the Diana Award, click here for more info, who we are members of.
The pupils will also watch age appropriate videos about anti-bullying, including cyber bullying and participate in an assembly related to this theme.
I would also like to highlight the e-resources of Digital Parenting, click here for more info. It is a good place to start when considering the pressure and demands of the digital world on young people and as parents, the role that you can play in helping to manage the risks.
Anti-bullying is everyone’s responsibility, let’s work together to stop it.
